Bulldog Judo offers training in traditional Judo techniques and principles, with a focus on physical fitness and preparing students for competition. Overall, Bulldog Judo is a place for students to develop their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Beginners and Expects Train Together

Judo Technical Class

Monday - 6:45 PM to 8:30 PM
Class will focus on teaching and practicing techniques from the Kodokan (techniques and principals developed by Judo’s founder Kanō Jigorō). This class will build up any Judoka’s foundation.

Class might finish with low intensity tachi-waza (standing) or ne-waza (ground) randori session.

Judo Drills and Fitness Class

Tuesday - 6:45 PM to 8:30 PM
Class will consist of Judo Drills to improve fundamentals and to improve Judoka’s Fitness. The drills will involve practicing movements, throws, and using your own body to strengthen itself.

All fitness levels are welcome.

Judo Grip Fighting and Randori

Wednesday - 6:45 PM to 8:30 PM
Class will teaches the fundamentals of grip fighting, movement, and fight pacing. The lessons will focus on how to obtain the desired grips, move your opponent, and to execute techniques in the “Gentle Way”.

Classes will finish with comparative Randori where Judoka can test, refine, and sharp their techniques.

Traditional Techniques and Practical Application

Bulldog Judo teaches traditional Judo techniques, as defined at founding of Judo. However, the lessons extend past traditional teachings into practical applications that win matches. We will teach non-orthodox stances, grips, and movements to fully embody the “Gentle Way” of advance fighting.

Building Strength through Competitive Randori

Each person is stronger by making their teammates stronger. Bulldog Judo teaches the importance of competition, competitiveness, and victory by growing the team. Each club member knows that to get better, you must train against better opponents. Make your partners better.

Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school to help ensure students have the necessary support to do their best learning.
